Kleingunther

My father has a kleingunther 308 Norma mag. He bought it 30 hrs ago from the man himself (kleingunther). My dad absolutely loves this gun but he has never shot it b/c f the recoil. Does anyone know about this rifle. Can the recoil be tamed w/o a muzzle brake. Any info will be helpful.

There is an interesting article about Kleinguenther in the latest Precision Shooting. Any decent gunsmith should be able to install a muzzle brake.

If he don't want a break, check out the Limbsaver recoil pads and the in the stock recoil reducers...
The combination of the 2 will decrease a lot of recoil..

Shoot light bullets, load to a lower velocity.

.308 Norma is basically a .30-338win which has 15% less capacity than the .300win.
Sure don't need to worry about hot magnum loads, can be handloaded fairly mild to .30-06 levels.
