Kimber 82

Own a great accurate Kimber 82. Right now scope is on rings would like to get a rail to attach to the barrel before I mount the scope does anyone know where I can purchase a rail.
Thanks for your time
Pete

I got some from DIP.

I think that the rails for CZ rimfires will fit the Kimber with a little bit of persuasion. Probably have better information if you search on rimfire central or ask over there.

Cranky

Bkl technologies make a great one. They sell direct I think or brownells carries them. I have one on mine it keeps centered when you tighten it down. Matt

Weavers T-10 , cheap ,well designed ,strong enough for large target scopes .
If this is what your asking for , a weaver base adapter to the grooved receiver .

Sorry , I just saw that you want to mount to barrel ?

I don't own a Kimber 82 (got too many rimfire rifles as it is) but do believe anything that Bkl Technologies makes are solid and really good items. But if I were doing what you are trying to accomplish, I'd go with the Bkl parts over others for that particular rifle which is a solid nice rifle (IMHO). Just my .02 worth.

Am sure that the one on mine was made for a Winchester 52.......screwed onto my Kimber 82G with no problem.

Got a 25 moa rail for the kimber made by murphy precision. Fits great just like the winchester 4 screws made it fit real tight. now have a new question to ask everyone out there. Does anyone know of another trigger I can use to make it lighter got it as light as can now but gunsmith said cannot go any lighter any ideas from anyone. Know someone who can do this because I certainly cannot.

Thanks

Pete

Unfortunately you are going to be hard pressed to find anyone to touch it.

However you could search/ask at rimfirecentral.com those guys would know.

I assume you're talking about a Kimber 82G. If so, no problem. These rifles were all made to accept Anschutz accessories, so anything made to fit an Anschutz will work. Like tha Anschutzes, the receiver grooves are the European std. 11mm, not the U.S. std. 3/8", so you might keep this in mind when buying rings. Again, no problem with BKL's. Their rings fit both types.

Best bet is b-square dovetail to weaver adapters (or equivalent from ebay) and Burris Signature Zee rings, and a set of the offset inserts.

I had a 82G. With a BSA 36x scope and BKL rings, there wasn't even close to enough adjustment at 50 yards to get the bullet in the target, way too low even with the scope cranked all the way up. The setup mentioned above solved that problem. Set the scope back to zero and sighted it in very closely by adjusting and tweaking the offset inserts (which got me to within an inch or so in each direction), then fine tuned w/ the scope to retain max adjustment in both axis if necessary.

For whatever reason the Kimber 82s seem to shoot very low.
