Kill a Groundhog - Feed an Eagle

Very cool to see. Thanks for sharing.

Two years ago in January, I was coyote hunting near Kremmling Colorado. It was -13F at 8am, so a bit chilly with fresh snow, but dead-calm.

On my first stand, I had a coyote at 125yds and popped her. I left her lay in a small open area, planning to retrieve her on the way out. Coming back around about 2 hours later, a Golden Eagle lifts off the carcass and flies circles around me. The eagle had ripped a 6-7" hole in the hide and was feeding on the ribs. I left the coyote with the eagle.

I went back in mid-March and there was only a hair pile, no bones, teeth, toenails, nothing but fur.

I figure I saved several small animals that day, the animals the eagle did not need to kill, and, of course, the animals the coyote would never kill.

A few years ago I was taking the advantage of the young groundhogs for targets .I would shoot one and a little later I would set back and watch a mature bald eagle fly down pick up the pup and fly to it's nest .I watched this 4 or 5 times that day . .

Wow...........

Talk about brought back from the DEAD.....Cliffy is in this one.....
