Kidd trigger ... Wow!

Replaced the factory Ruger trigger with a Kidd single stage assembly on a Magnum Research autoloader. Holy Moley what a sweet trigger! Factory set at 1.5 pounds and this thing breaks crisp. There's so little overtravel I'm amazed the trigger can reset. Flawless.

These triggers are not inexpensive but worth every penny. Matter of fact, I consider this product to be a bargain. It's THAT good.

Are any of you old enough to remember the Jewell trigger for the 10/22? I do have one when Arnold was still making them.
Arnold told me that the Kidd trigger was a real good one.

I put together a full Kidd 10-22. Used their 2 stage trigger; it's fabulous. Great for shooting offhand. Completely predictable and CRISP! That's a fun gun!

Yup, got two 1.75 pound kits in Ruger poly that feel all but same as the two Single Stage triggers. One is still 1.5 and the other tweaked for a touch under a pound. The Two Stage was ordered set to 3 + 5 ounces.

Butch, I have a Jewell 10-22 trigger. Sadly after 15 yrs it 'let go'. Now disassembled, but Jewell has no parts nor anyone left who knows how to repair it. Several Kidds x 10 yrs and nary a hiccup. Seymour

While this is my first 10/22 type rifle, I've shot many of them over the years. My biggest complaint was the squishy, stacking trigger. No slam on Ruger. These are inexpensive workhorse truck guns. After buying the Magnum Research rifle I knew the trigger was going to be replaced without firing a single shot.

Doing the usual Google search thing left me with no doubt that a Kidd trigger was the way to go. From what I've read this is not simply a precision version of the factory unit. Apparently Tony re-thought the lever geometry.

I didn't buy this gun with the intention of turning it into paper puncher, but a good trigger is a necessity for me. I think Kidd makes a superb product and recommend this trigger without reservation.
