Kidd .22 rifles

I have two, a Supergrade and a Classic.

They are very good, well worth the price.

I would avoid the Magpul stock though.

I viewed they were all fluff without any substance. Then I ordered their 10/22 trigger upgrade kit. I couldn't believe how simple and great it was! Shortly after that, I ordered a Supergrade barreled action (wanted to save the 11% firearms tax). I shot it versus my Annie 1411/1413 and you can see how it compared in accuracy. I am very happy with mine.

I purchased a complete barreled action and put it in a KRG Whiskey-3 chassis. Fit is tight, but I'm having issues of the bolt fully going into battery on some rounds. I only shoot Eley through it, so it's quality ammo.

Anyone had any experience with these rifles?
Worth the $ ?
What is your goal to use it for? May be worth it, may not be depending what you are trying to accomplish. As 10/22's go they are usually good. As to being good for something like BR, not so much unless you only want to shoot ABRA and even then, some of the customs are probably better.

In a word yes they are great little semi auto's. I have one in the KRG Bravo chassis. For the first year I owned it I used the Magpul stock, smallest group with the Magpul at 50 was in the 1's, average with Lapua CX was in the 3's. About all ammo averages MOA or sub MOA, with either the magpull or the KRG stock. I would not hesitate to shoot it in ARA factory class but it exceeds the price ceiling and in unlimited it would be outclassed by custom bolt rifles

I swapped out the bull barrel for a Kidd superlight barrel and now I use it occasionally in steel challange matches and it shoots a lot better than I can

Had a factory 10/22 action. Ordered a Kidd 2 stage trigger- bolt-charging handle-
Had a Shilen barrel and Mcmillian stock. Shoots amazing. Kidd products are top of the line. Customer service outstanding. Rifles are expensive BUT you get what you pay for. Well worth the $.

Worth the $ ?H

I had a Super Grade he built for me in a McMillan Silhouette stock. It was fantastic shooter. I wish he still had better stock choices. The Magpull doesn't do his rifles justice.

I put my Kidd SuperGrade into a Victor Company Titan22 stock with the rear anchor. For the money, I don't feel there is a better option for a do it all stock.

Buddy has a really tricked out 10/22. I really liked it. We went through and priced all the pieces a d parts, no including a donor action. It want all that far off of a Kidd barreled action. I also went with a Victor stock.
It has its ammo preferences like all 22RF. I am happy with it and no regrets.

I can say that Kidd rifles and kidd parts are top shelf, added a few barrels to my 10/22's, triggers, and buffer pins. Kidd barrels made a big difference in accuracy over the stock ruger heavy barrels. Rimfire Central has a fine example with photos of rifles and targets posted that Kidd rifles are very accurate.

I own a Kidd Supergrade and absolutely love shooting it. It will routinely give me teens/5 shot groups at 50 yards with SK Match and it's a hammer with Center-X! In my view, it's the BEST built 10/22 platform on the market or any semi-auto out there!
