KIA anniversary

It was 54 years ago today that my friend James Paton Nicholson was killed in the Battle of Dai Do in VietNam.
A superb hockey player (his dad played in the NHL) served in the USMC.
Jamie was a Canadian, who in a quest for action crossed the border and signed up. He is buried in Charlottetown Prince Edward Island Canada. Every year my brothers (also his friend) or I place an American flag at his grave.
Long time ago but I remember him as if it was yesterday.
RIP Jamie. Not forgotten.

Good for you for remembering. I have two nephews in the US Navy and US Marines right now in spite of the fact they are Canadians. I believe when their military career are over they’ll stay here and I welcome them here.
And their Grandfather and Father played for Calgary Flames. Ribble is their name.

I have a list of 62 buddies from our unit (1968-70) + the 4 I have from my high school. They don't get enough people remembering their sacrifice, only family and the guys they fought with.
