Kestrel AB Bluetooth

Is it possible to pair the Kestrel AB Bluetooth with an IPhone 5s, I know there were problems in the past pairing them but I was wondering if issue had been resolved yet and is it now possible?
My Kestral has firmware version 4.80 and my phone is iOS 8.3.

You cannot pair an IPhone with a Kestral via Bluetooth. Apple doesn't allow data transfer via Bluetooth.

He is correct, Apple does not allow general bluetooth hardware to connect, they require special hardware to be installed.
