Keratokonus anyone?

Keratokonus is an eye condition that people have and may know about it. It effects the curvature of the eye. I have it and need to do surgery called Cross Linking. It was approved by FDA about 2-3 years ago but the rest of the world has been doing it for years.

Curious if any of you have or had it and how the surgery went.

I have that in right eye. In me it is flat spots in my cornea. Only way to fix it I knew of was having a cornea transplant. I will look into this cross linking. I am going to a new opthamologist soon, so if i learn anything new i will report back.

Fellow Keratoonus patient here. Sorry - I can only offer sympathy. I don't know anything about Cross Linking. Mine hasn't progressed to the point where surgery is being discussed. My "settled down" (stopped getting worse) probably in my late 40s / early 50s. I seem to recall being told it calms down with age. But I might be remembering incorrectly / blowing smoke.
