Try a different base. His may not be exactly to the mil spec. Or you can send them to a gunsmith to modify your base a bit to hold them. It doesnt take very much milling to open one slot up to fit
Older Ken Farrell bases are "Weaver" Style bases, The newer ones are "Picatinny" and will have a small "PIC" marking on the top. Ken Farrel sold his own rings that fit optimally on his bases. I have ran into this problem with some rings and others fit fine.
