Kelby Atlas Action opinions

Well, I searched. Just did not find much on these actions

What's the general thought of these? Love to hear from folks who either own or shot one and how they compare to a bat or even their panda. Other clones to

So, my builds coming together, F Class, mainly mid range

I like the price on the atlas, just want to make sure I'm not giving too much up.

I'm building a hunting rifle on an Atlas right now. The action is very nice for the price. Trigger hanger and pinned recoil lug, hard to beat for the price.

I like mine, I got the spiral fluted bolt, single shot. The bolt throw is very smooth like my BAT & Nesika Bay actions. However, the cocking when opening and closing of the bolt is a little stiffer than I'd like. The bolt opens/closes nice and easy sans trigger. As soon as I put the Jewell trigger on it, it gets really stiff. I'm no gunsmith, so I've wondered if it has something to do with the hanger and or trigger geometry (I have not yet called Kelbly's to ask). Other than that, it's a nice action.

I don't know if it's changed or not but, when I ordered mine, you could only get left/left or right/right on bolt/port. I saw you mention left/right in your other post.

Rick. Very nice stick, also like to see that sightron on there. For scale. Just picked up a 8-32 here. On the bolt, that's basically the same complaint I have with my predator. Super tight lockup. Really like it, but again just a little stiff That said doesn't even compare to my savage

On the other hand, take a bat or panda. Or ? What kind of effort are we talking with these

By this statement, are you saying you like Savage better or Atlas?

Sorry. Comparing the savage and predator. ( Non target savage) The savage does the job but is not as smooth as predator. Not really a fair set of actions to compare, factory vs custom. The stiller is just on a different playing field

Like I'm sure the bats, borden, kelby, etc actions are, I just dont have options to handle different ones, got to go on research and recommendations
