Kelbly Panda in hunting rig?

I have been thinking of building a hunting rig, and then i thought, what if i just get a hunting barrel and a sporter stock for my panda. Has anyone tried this? I dont mind the single shot. I am so used to f class that i havent used a magazine in 6 yrs.

I have a panda Bigbore switch barrel I have used hunting a few times. I Never had an issue. I don't abuse my equipment and try to keep it as clean as possible, but it has worked for me on more then one occasion. Some one else might have more experience or another opinion on your question.

My prairie dog gun is a 40X single shot. One of my long-range "tower" rifles is also single shot. They are fine for me but there is a problem with your selection.

For field usage you must ALWAYS remember that the gun cannot be loaded until time for the shot. No safety. I own two Kelby/Stolle actioned rifles. Never would I use one in any kind of hunting scenario. Too dangerous. Triggers under 2 oz and no safety stop that.

Remember that in the "heat of battle" just a pause in making the shot, a slight change in sighting as the target moves means you adjust things with a loaded, touchy rifle. One mental mistake - unless you are perfect - is trouble.

Additionally, you do not need the kind of accuracy possible with custom actions in the field. "Minute of deer...prairie dog, elk, coyote, groundhog etc." is all you need. My hunting rifles shoot well. You can use them for target. You could look good doing it but will not win against custom target rifles. The reverse is true for hunting.

Using a custom target rifle for some kind of hunting might make you think you look good. It also might give you some element of pride in your tuning and performance. It could also kill or maim you or others.

You don't need that.

I completely forgot about the safety issue. You are right.

Not a problem. Get a Jewell with a bottom safety if you're not happy leaving the bolt out of battery until ready to fire.

I have a HALL action gun with a bottom that I used for deer hunting. Not walking around gun, but works good for box blind.

????? Where did you come up with you can't have a trigger for a Panda with a safety?
