Keith Weil has left the range

Had a lot of good times with him. We put a lot of miles on the road picking up equipment and putting it in the basement only to take it back out and put it in the new shop. I was lucky enough to get the first barrel he ever chambered (A 223 not the one pictured)

R.I.P My Friend I will always cherish the time we spent together!!!!!!!
To all that have a best friend cherish the time you have together as life is short.

Keith Weil, our beloved cigar cop, did indeed pass away last night.

He and I shared many laughs together, and I view him as one of my best friends.

Keith passed after a long and hard battle with pancreatic cancer. He leaves behind his wife, Kim, and his son Cole.

I will personally be handling his firearms estate and all of his current builds. I will be in contact with all the current owners of goods at the Keith Weil precision shop and will be closing his ATF book.

I’ll be working with his wife Kim to settle any outstanding liabilities The shop will have.

Please! Be patient during this transition. It will be rather technical because the ATF will be involved as we are closing a license.

If you had any goods at KWP, you can expect a call from me personally after 1 October. Please feel free to give me an email or private message if you have any concerns in this manner.
And God bless you sir for taking on this tough task.

Like many of you I was fortunate to meet Keith through this site when I was looking to get some chamberings. I live relatively close by and arranged to drive the action and barrels to him. I was 15 mins late to our agreed time. As I drove up his driveway that had been recently re-surfaced I saw him moving a traffic cone and as I got closer I rolled down the window to say hi to which he said “Hi, you’re late!” After then grabbing the barrel and action I followed him into his shop. He stopped at the big work table slapped his hand on the table and said “let’s see what you got”. After chats about backgrounds and such (like for 2+hours), he showed me his reloading setup in his basement noting he and his son had replaced the steps and other casual tidbits. After another hour of chats we went back to the shop. Knowing I was relatively new to F Class he asked me if I had powder, brass, what was I planning for barrel break-in, and much more in an effort to see if he could help in any way. Leaving after over 3 hours I felt good about life.
Returning to pick up the build and dropping off another was a similar story.
We are diminished with his passing. RIP Keith and may God comfort your family.
