keep tikkas or sell/trade for custom

yea they are lite and have some kick after alot of discussion (thanks everyone)im going to use the tikka action to do semi build....the club i joined has f-class 300 yard league and f class high power league i never shot in one of these but i think f-class is 223 or 308 and high power is any centerfire rifle to a point ...so probably going 223 but really like all the accuracy talk of the 6br so i have that to consider man tough choice also see benchrest league any cailber under 308 but its 100 yd league

You could rebarrel one of yours for about $600. I like Light Varmint or Medium Palma profile. Thst adds some weight.

that is barrel and gunsmith charges or you buy blank and he does rest of work or just order shouldered barrel

$600 should be for everything. My smith to rebarrel (purchase the blank), chamber, true a Rem 700, install, do whatever else is $750.

You shouldn’t have to true a tikka. They are normally pretty straight out of the box.

In f class you have ftr which is 223 or 308 and f open is anything else. I would suggest going to a match and talking to some people about equipment before spending money. Most would be happy to help you get started.

That's the total cost of barrel and smithing work, as of summer 2019. Not sure if Bob has upped his time costs. You really should call him. I can say, with every fiber of my being, you will never deal with a nicer , more talented and knowledgeable guy! Tell him Josh Boucher sent you. He' ll probably grumble a little!;)
I usually order my barrel at Bugholes and have it shipped direct to Bob. Saves shipping costs.

thanks for all the help josh if i sell one ill let you know

I've rebarreled a half dozen Tikka t3's and also two of the older models. All of them without exception shot incredibly well afterwards. Very straight forward action to rebarrel and the results are to expectation.

no i wish they were wanted to upgrade stock but if i did for sporter barrel then purchased barrel and got thicker barrel would have to replace stock again or channel out if possible
