Kahles scopes.

So, I'm finding myself trying to sort of duplicate a M82/C82 sniper rifle. I know the early ones had a 6X on there. Looking at using a later Kahles. How good is the glass? I've looked through a few many years ago, and thought they were okay. But, I also looked at better (I thought) scopes at the same time (and didn't buy either one).

So, what's the general consensus on them? I have no stores anywhere near me where I can look through them.

Excellent scopes, you will not be disappointed I have the K525i and K 10-50x56, very good glass but not as bright as my NF Comps..... I'm a benchrest shooter

Kahles is top shelf and the oldest scope maker in the world. Swaro bought them out several years back now, likely because they were as good as Swaro for half the price...at the time. They're made(or were) in Austria and I believe use Schott glass. I agree the NF Comp is a bit brighter but I have very little doubt that
Kahles is very capable of matching or bettering it. Like so many things, I think it comes down to money and what they think the market will stand and its purpose. Frankly, we don't need the very best glass for most any target shooting comps shot in broad daylight. Hunting scopes generally have the best glass in high end optics.
