K and P barrels

Anyone here with first hand experience with K and P barrels? I’m looking at getting one or maybe 2. How are they going to compare to other cut rifles barrel manufacturers like krieger brux and bartlien?

They are very good barrels. As mentioned LRI uses them and they supplied the one I’ve used. It was a prefit for a Ruger PR in 6.5 Creedmoor. It shot very well. The owners have a long history in the competition barrel game.

The most accurate rifle I own has a K&P barrel. 6.5x284 built on a 700 action. Did a OCW test with Berger 140’s aNd 4831SC and out of 7 groups the largest was .4 and smallest was in the 0’s. At first I couldn’t get the accuracy I wanted with SMK’s but even then the largest group was around 3/4”. Got to measuring my bullets and found the problem so I switched to Berger and couldn’t be happier with it. Also built a 6br with a K&P barrel at the same time but haven’t got to play with it yet.

Have one that was a custom twist 1-9" made for a 25-06. It shot extremely well with 115 bergers and 115 barnes. I'm sure if I put it back on it would continue to shoot well. The bore finish was very good and it broke in and cleaned easily. Would use again if necessary.
