Just received a shipment of RMR 69 Grain in 223

I spent a lot of time with them last year, even spoke with the owner. He could get sub MOA 10 shot groups, typically in the .9s with his AR. He said to play with seating depth which I tried all kinds from 2.20 to 2.70. I settled on 2.60 with 24.3 TAC, but it didn't really change much.

One of my bolt rifles has a 1:7 twist Wilson barrel that is in the .5s with a 69 SMK. With the 69RMR, most groups were around 1-1.5 MOA.

My 1:7 Krieger barreled bolt rifles will shoot in the .2s but with the 69 RMR is in the .7s

Recently I purchased some of the RMR 75 grain bullets and they seem to shoot much more consistently, but I have only shot a few 5 shot groups so far.

I have shot a good deal of the RMR 69gr in two different Savage rifles. A Model 10 with a 22" 1:9 twist blind mag absolutely loved them to the point tat I shot then during a 10 week target league. Loaded them with Norma brass, CCI450 primers and either Benchmark or A2460 powders at distances ranging from 100 - 300yds. They shot well enough that I finished 14th out of 20 and many of these guys were shooting custom bench rifles. They would hold their own to 200yds but at 300 they fell behind. Easy hold 1.5" - 2" groups at 300yds.

Then a Savage Model 12 223 with 26", 1:9 twist barrel. This rifle hates the RMR 69gr bullet. Have tried it with many iterations with 4 different powders and it just doesn't shoot in that rifle.

Interesting. Bullets from the same lot for the two rifles?
