Just received a shipment of RMR 69 Grain in 223

Just got thru weighing 50 of 250 bullets from RMR.

Weights went from 68.9 to 69.1

Vast majority were dead on at 69 grains

Posts I've read are to use the same load as SMK69s and I'm using Varget. Going to load them at 24.5gr which has been very good at 100yards and test them against my SMK's.

500 rounds to my door via USPS was $84.00
 
Couldn't wait, so I loaded up 5 rounds and shot at 50 yards here at home.

Initial results are VERY promising. 1st shot in the red, the remaining FOUR just down and to the left. MOA on the 4 was .324

No changes to scope setting, everything was setup for my SMK69'If it keeps up like this, I think I'm in love!

We've been shooting both for a while. The 75s started out rough when I subbed them directly into my 77 gr SMK load.... like 1.75 MOA or something. So we sidelined them.

We revisited them with 3 different loads in two bolt guns and they shot really good with the exception of the SMK load I originally tried.

RMRs make for great bulk loads for medium range shooting. We'll run them to 1000 yards every so often too, but that's a stretch.
 
I bought some RMR 69s a couple years back. I've tried them with several powders at several seating depths and never could find a load I was happy with. Hopefully they changed their manufacturing process. I like everything else they offer.

I just got thru shooting at 100 yards with the Varget 24.5 load and with a few minor adjustments to the scope, I'm very pleased. Absolute worst 5 shot grouping was 1.89 then started tweaking scope and things tightened right up. Groups were .then a .99, .89, .84, 67, .66, and last was the best was a .39.

I'm very pleased with these initial results. Granted it's only at 100 yards, but finding longer distances are a real challenge down here in the mountains of Arkansas.

Trust me, if I can do it, anybody else can.

It just takes a lot of shooting. Reading these forums, asking for help, all of which has done wonders for me in just a couple of months. What I've learned has carried over into my AR shooting and it's improved as well.

Us too. I'm almost happy to leave them at 1.5ish MOA so I don't feel guilty about slamming steel with them. I've read of other guys getting better performance from them, but I have too many other 5.56 loads to try really hard with these.

My experience is the accuracy varies significantly from lot to lot.
The first lot I tried produced a 7 shot hole at 100 yards ~ 1/4 ". Wow!!
Never repeated. Some lots couldn't get better than 2 MOA. Most recent lot produced a couple groups ~ 1 MOA as I was redoing load development.
I have since moved on - for the matches I shoot, need better, more consistent results.
 
they are barely better than fmj bullets. if your gun shoots them then you ae lucky. most every single report and people I know that tried them report they are 1.5moa at best. Mease some of them they are all over the place. My seating depth varies 0.003"-4" Hornady sp 55gr shoots better out to 300yds than these do.

For range blasting ammo or short range hunting to 300yds they will work. Otherwise Hornady 60gr vmax are the same price for me and shoot into the 0.2"s.

I've never seen luck repeatable.

It may be their product has improved. Maybe different calibers shoot differently.

I have no knowledge of RMR from years before, but as a long time business owner, we were always striving to improve our products and services to our customers. RMR is no different IMO. There are may very positive reviews online. I found out because I did a lot of research before buying them.

I have bought .20 cal nosler fbhp "shots" from them before. I screwed up and passed on the. 30 cal 125 gr nosler ballistic tips. They must've bought out someone else's stock and pulled the bullets. They advertised as a 1 time run. My bad. Have two blackouts to feed along with a .300 savage that loves them.
 
I have had good results with RMR's 69 grain bullets. I tried three powders before finding a load that produces 1MOA results in my rifle. It has been repeatable with two different batches of their bullets.
