Just received a Bartlein bbl 6mm

Bartlein Rem varmint contour bbl 6mm .237 - .243 8" 5R rifling. I was planing on 6mm Creedmore ,but reading previous thread everyone seems to love the 6mmXC . Use of this rifle will be varmints(Prairie Dogs) and Steel out to 1,000 yds . I ordered Creedmore dies,I can easily send them right back. So is Tubbs 6mmXC brass whole lot better than brass I can get for 6mmCreedmore ? Also thinking of 26" finished length. Screwing this bbl onto a Rem 700 Sendero .

Go creedmoor, just built one for myself and it's totally worth it.

So AB_ bentley what brass are you using for your creed ? Where I go PD hunting average shots are 200-400 yds .
I'm using 6.5 Creedmoor brass and forming it with a 6br die. After that there's no fireforming, load and go. 200-400yds is a chip shot for the 6.

I`m thinking about putting a Dasher top end on the 6.5 Creedmoor brass.........:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I use Hornady brass, I think it's great brass, going on 11 firings, when I get all 100 fired up at same time going to have them annealed again(2nd time ever). Oh, I have three 6 Creedmoors, I'd get another one if the wife wouldn't mind, wink. Shooting Pdogs at 200-400 is like shooting fish in a barrel with the 6 Creed.

What bullets are you shooting for P-dogs and whats the velocity?

Ebb I went through 3 barrels in that fire breathing dragon cartridge . Seen videos of guys making 1,000 yard+ plus hits on cartridges 500 fps slower. I'm through with that cartridge.
