Just lost my mom

Exactly two hours ago I lost my mom. She battled cancer off and on for two years. We had moved my parents in with us when their health started failing and all of her family were here for the end. There were tears for sure and there are as I type this, but I’m so happy she is no longer in pain and I know I will see her again someday. If you don’t know the peace that only believing in Jesus can bring, please look me up at a shoot sometime and we can have a talk.

I know Dave and his mother personally. Truly a wonderful family and very happy and privileged to call them all my friends. I remember going on a missions trip with Dave’s mother back in 2013 to the Navajo Indian reservation in Arizona. I’ll never forget the peace and joy found around her and the other people that I was there with. I also really enjoyed seeing her sing in the choir every Sunday at church. I lost my mother back in 1996. I remember Dave‘s mother fixing wonderful meals, and making our temporary home for the week comfortable and clean and making me feel like I had a mother again at least for that week. My heart goes out to the family and people that knew her. I have absolutely no doubt that she is with Christ and he now has a wonderful helper in heaven.

My sincere condolences! While I'm not a religious man I do believe there's a better place after this life that does not include the pain and suffering associated.

I also believe "...what goes around comes around..." and those, such as yourself, who sacrifice personal niceties and gain for the well being of others will be rewarded in some form.
