do you think the following would happen! I bought a left-hand Remington M700 barreled action and dropped it into the stock you see in this photo. It's the same as was offered sometime back in Remington's VS rifle. I got a NF 20 MOA tapered base from Brownell's, slapped it atop and took the NF scope off another rifle I had and installed it atop the Picatinny rail. Went to the range and set up at 200 yards and when I pulled the bolt and bore sighted it.....I didn't move the knobs at all because all looked close! I got a good position, broke the shot and......dead center of an AR500 plate I shoot on! And I'm thinking.....wonder of wonders! Loaded another round and held on the black splatter as I paint the plate white.....and that round hit the first! Moved back to 400 yards, looked at the data I had on my Iphone for that distance and turned the knobs to 5 MOA....direct center hit...as I repainted the plate from first two shots. Back to 500 yards, put on 8 MOA....almost the same splatter hit. Moved to 600...put on 12 MOA from previous data....and hit one inch left dead center! Caliber is 308 Winchester and I shoot 46.5 grs. Varget drop tubed into the case behind a Nosler 150 gr. AccuBond bullet with F210M primer. Years back I had one of these rifles in same configuration and I let it get away from me! This isn't going anywhere....except to Kansas with me!
