Just how much do I like the NSS Shilen Select Match.

Just had to post up a picture of the groups we are getting from the 28" .308 barrel.
I cannot say enough about the quality of NSS Shilen SS Select Match barrels they are selling.
Not to mention James is one heck of a helpful guy to talk too.
This group was three shots shot at 100yrds today by my son. The group measures .17". The orange dot is a 2" btw.
That groups shot today (including the one pictured) was using a Vortex set at max to 12 pwr. We decided to step it up a touch and stopped at a place on the way home and bought a 5-25x50 Burris Veracity FFP. We just cannot wait to shoot it now with the new scope.
The barrel now has 150 rnds down the tube.

I have one of those barrels in 6br I purchased from the other Jim. It has been a very accurate shooter for me to. Good shooting

Nice! Bought a pre threaded shilen select match in 6.5 creedmoor from Jim as well, the barrel puts out the same groups, will be hard not to buy another when it wears out!

Thanks guys. My son really loves this rifle now that I put the new barrel on (I do as well).
I have given thought about getting another Shilen barrel but, in 6.5cm and have a switch barrel kinda deal. If it shot as good as this one I would be ecstatic.

I have three Shilen barrels in different caliber working right now. All are great and all through NSS

I too have 3 Shilen pre-fits, 243win, 308win & 300winmag. And you bet they're all good shooters.
Even tho they all have little freebore in the area of 0.075" to 0.090"
Another thing I really like about them is that I get no POI shift from cold bore.
The 308win I have doesn't have a POI shift from a Clean Cold Bore either, which is killer.

Jim is one of the best guys I've ever dealt with in this industry and every Shilen barrel I've bought from him throughout the years easily shot 1/4-1/2MOA after working up a load.

Good to know ...I've a couple of their tubes , one is a pre-fit select match , and they perform well for me ... my next project is going to be a 7 SAUM and will stick with the consistent winner and give NSS a try , too.
