Just finishing a R1 Tube gun...

For the last few months I have been working on a gun project for a customer in Kentucky. It has take several twist and turns. It started out as a repeater then turned into a single shot. The original chambering was to be a 6mmBRX. It now has become a switch barrel rifle. I have also chambered barrels for it in 6mmXC, and a 6.5 X .284. The action is a John Pierce target action made just for the Gary Eliseo tube guns. The barrels all are Broughton 1:8 5C. I will say it has been a pleasure to work with Gary Eliso he is quite a fine gentleman and make a first quality tube stock. The action by John Pierce also is very nice and well made. The fit and finish could not be any better. The first 5 shot 66BRX group I shot for record as in the low .2s. If you are interested in a tube gun you should give Gary Eliso a call. Creedmoor Sports will also be selling these guns. They are very nice.

Nate, I agree completely about Gary and his products - all first class. I've worked on a few R5 kits,6BR) and have an R10,long action) on order. I'm really looking forward to laying my hands on that one. I just saw the Daily Bulletin item about Gary's new kit for the Savage, great idea.

I have talked and e-mailed Gary several times and he has always been able to answer my questions. He answers his own phone and that is the kinda guy I like to do business with. I hope to work with him on several Savage stocks in the near future.
