Just finished a new 6br on a Tikka 595

Nice build sir,
I have a Tikka that I keep thinking about a build due to the great action. It's just such a accurate all around rifle it's tough to take apart. And of course the limited stocks available.

I have three or four that are untouched. They shoot fine as they are. I have two that I only made a new stock for and left the metal alone. Good guns, slick actions. This one was a burned out 22-250 AI.

Bill Shehane did tell me that he could make a benchrest stock for Tikka. My preference would be devise a way to inlay a single shot follower or internal box. for a clean look.

SPJ: I reread your comment again about not wanting to take a nice shooting rifle apart. I keep an eye out for 595s on Gunbroker when I want a project gun. Sometimes I get them for around $500.
Update! I just checked and there’s a 595 in 223 for sale! Starting bid-$510! Looks like it could use a nice, new stock!
