Just Bought Athlon Chrono — Thoughts?

Well after looking endlessly for a deal on a Athlon chronograph I found one at Bass Pro online.
Can not wait to try it.

I have one, it works fine.
The first one had some issues, is was replaced very quickly and with no argument.

I've just started using mine and I like it. Almost spot on with my Magnetospeed readings and within 5-6 fps of a fellow shooters Garmin. The app is not as bad as I had read. Easy to download the results into a spreadsheet.

My wife and kids gave me one for Christmas. We shot several rifles yesterday and it was great. WAY MORE convenient than my old school shoot thru one I’d had for years. Word of caution…One gun was a 300WM with a muzzle brake….first shot blew the Chrono off the table. Didn't use it for that gun after that!

You cant move it to a position that is not in the path of the blast ?

I had it about a foot behind it. That 300 is brutal with a brake. All the others were suppressed. Not sure how far back I could go and it still be accurate.

Athlon chronograph works well. Use it in our F Class league to check velocity as temperature climbs. Stay in the node throughout the competitive matches. Send excel spreadsheet to fellow competitors that borrow my chronograph while testing loads on SMT E-tgts

I got one about 4 month ago. I shoot at an indoor range and have to get an end lane and make sure I point it more towards my target and the wall. I have used it in other lanes and it picked up other shooters. So in them cases I start a new session, enter in all the info and stop at bullet weight. Then press start and then shoot and end the session right after my last shot. That seems to work for me when there are other shooters. I just get my data.
