Junebug in Oklahoma - 7 SAUM IMP

Awesome buck! Looks like a mulie? Is that correct? I didn’t know they had mulies in Ok, but tyen again i have never been there lol.
btw, its good to see alot of familar names from the varmints den!

Yes, we have Mule Deer in Oklahoma, but they are few in number and inhabit the far western counties. For example, during the 2018-19 deer season of 109,260 deer taken statewide only 222 were Mulies. So, Junebug's deer is truly a rare trophy.

Hey, you Ok..., er, you Sooners:

Pray tell: Going upstream, why does the Red River become the Prairie Dog Town Fork Red River in extreme SW OK, just downstream from the Texas panhandle border?

Must be an OK thing, the North Canadian River is known as the Beaver River thru the panhandle until you get to Woodward...
My best guess would be something to do with pre statehood on the Beaver as the panhandle wasn't considered part of Oklahoma Territory until statehood, have no idea on the Red unless it meets possibly with a North Fork/ South Fork and joins into one???
