Joy Pod pad

I am preparing for my first season shooting F T/R. I have a Protector DR rear bag and a Joypod bipod and have invested well beyond my budget. Any suggestions on a low cost pad for the Joypod that I can create myself would be welcome. Thanks for your input.

Go to a farm store and get a piece of horse stall mat.

Look on Facebook market place for smaller pieces of stall mat if you don’t need a full sheet. Any kind of heavy/harder rubber will work. Then put something softer on top. Scrap short/tight nap carpet or a gun cleaning mat/mouse pad type material will work.

I use 2 mouse pads glued to a piece of horse stall mat. Or I did. Sold the joy pod and went back to using a Flex Pod.

A cheap short pile door matt, a scrap of Berber carpet or any short pile carpet scrap from a carpet store. Glue it to a piece of 1x12 that’s a couple inches wider than your bipod.

Apparently you missed all the drama around 'Carpet-gate' a year or two back...

TL;DR version: Don't. Stick with something that the bipod feet won't leave 'tracks' in/on.
