Lapua is seeking a director for the rimfire test facility in Mesa, Arizona. Ideally the candidate would have mechanical aptitude and smallbore competitive experience. This test center has a control room attached to a long, above-ground tunnel. Advanced sensors allow group sizes to be recorded at multiple distances simultaneously. In addition, velocities are recorded so that customers can evaluate ES and SD for all the lots of ammunition they test.

Firearm owners can bring their own rifles which are then secured to a shooting station. That way various sample lots of Lapua rimfire ammunition can be tested for performance in the customer's own rifle. Nothing beats that...
Job Title: Lapua Rimfire Test Center Specialist
The Test Center Specialist will manage all aspects of the operation of the Lapua Rimfire Test Center in Mesa, AZ.
The Lapua Rimfire Test Center provides firearms/ammunition performance matching for competitive rimfire shooters. The Test Center Specialist performs the required tests and working with customers to meet their competitive shooting needs.
This position offers an excellent work environment with annual bonus incentives, retirement savings program, and much more.

Summary of essential job functions:
Market the Lapua Test Center in coordination with the Sales and Marketing Directors
Schedule appointments for live testing at the facility
Schedule testing of customers’ firearms that are shipped to facility
Answer incoming Lapua Test Center customer service calls and emails
Maintain the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of the Lapua Test Center
Control and organize ammunition inventory
Perform firearm/ammunition matching tests and interpret test results
Coordinate the sale of ammunition through Lapua distribution channels
Process orders and payment
Understand and follow basic import/export licensing requirements and regulations
Understand Hazardous Materials shipping requirements
Prepare weekly and other periodic reports on sales and inventory
Assist other operations of Capstone Precision Group as needed
Minimum requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
Shooting experience, preferably competitive rimfire
Mechanical aptitude

Required Qualifications and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to follow safety and procedural requirements
Able to lift 50-lbs
Effective communication, both verbally and written
Computer skills to include Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Current driver’s license
