JLK bullets

Looking through my 223 drawer, I found a box of 65gr JLK bullets. My records show that they shot exceptionally well. I searched around and it doesn't seem like they are still in business. Does anybody know what happened to them?

Thread '"Swampy" has left the range'

It is with a heavy heart that I must report that Steve "Swampy" Milholland has left the range. He owned/operated JLK bullets. All that I know is he passed suddenly. Please keep his family and friends in your prayers during this difficult time.

The company was sold ad I believe there was a thread here about the new owner having a difficult time obtaining jackets. The web site showed everything out of stock earlier today.

I used to love JLK bullets
best bullets I ever shot in 22 and 6mm caliber
after Jimmy Lee Knox sold it to someone else
I ordered some about 5 or so years ago
The wait was long plus he mixed up my order giving me 52's instead of the 60's I ordered
On top of that, the guy didnt wanna make it right, unless I was willing to wait all over again as if I had just placed a new order

Its a shame because they were a go to bullet to test a guns accuracy
His 60 grn bullets were the one bullet I could count on to get .100 one hole groups in my 22 BR with

I check JLK's website from time to time hoping they will do something, anything
but if there is never even one bullet in stock at any time?
What is the guy doing?
At the very least, he should offer 1 commonly used bullet and take orders on everything else if they want to just make bullets "made to order"
There's too many other options out there to take chances with JLK when you dont know what bullet you might get regardless of what you ordered

Whatever is going on with JLK now... does not suggest quality and attention to detail anymore like it used to be with Jimmy Lee
I even emailed them one time to see if I could "encourage" them to get their butt in gear

There was a time I would have loved to have been making JLK bullets
I knew nobody would respond but, what is the point of them having a website if they do nothing ?
The only thing I am seeing from JLK right now, is the current owner is trying to ensure he sabotages the business so he dont have to make bullets any more
