JLK bullets on game???

I was thinking of trying some of the 6.5 130 grainers from JLK but I was wondering if I could use them on deer like a Berger.

no way to know unless you try. but, having said that, JLK makes a run on a particular bullet only a couple times a year, so if you get a certain type--order a bunch--as in a couple thousand. JLK does make excellant bullets

I've used the 130 Berger VLD hunting version with perfect results. When Lapua came out with the 6.5X47 Lapua cartridge I realized that this round would feed out of a magazine flawlessly with VLD bullets (something that can't be done with any of the longer 6.5, unless you seat the bullets into the boiler room). With the 6.5X47 Lapua using the 130 Bergers I'm getting 2,950 fps.

I was leary at first, but I shot a whitetail buck with great results, so next I tried them on an antelope, same result. To date I've taken a dall ram, 2 antelope and 2 whitetail bucks, all of which were absolutely dead before they hit the ground.

I've used both the 130 Berger's and the JLK's in 1K competition, but I haven't tried the JLK's on game.
