Jewell trigger?

So with Jewell out of business where would you go to have one repaired or fixed? I have some and they are all fine but I ask this to be prepared in case there is a problem. Or I’m I SOOL? Not sure I would want to mess with one myself.

Thanks, John.

They aren't that complicated, they come with a exploded view in the paper work. Most times it just needs cleaning and you don't need to disassemble to do that. The reason to disassemble is to stone the side plates for a burr. Not difficult just take some pictures as you do it if you don't have the paper work.

I have never had an issue with a Jewell under normal use. Had them on a few rifles for many years. Just like any trigger, keep them clean and oiled. Most people recommend cleaning with lighter fluid as it also provides some lubrication, but I prefer different solvents and lube

I use CRC Mass Air Flow Sensor solvent for initial cleaning and HotShots Secret Nano Precision CLP gun oil for lubrication and keeping it clean during operation. The HotShots oil is good for operating down to -50F and it also cleans really well as it lubricates parts. Literally melts away carbon, much like the detergents in motor oil do for an engine, but it’s much thinner so it’s works fine with the intricate parts of a Jewell trigger

All I can say is what Arnold Jewell said. "Clean w/lighter fluid, and do not lubricate". Use a good bore guide to keep solvent and any lubricant out and you should have no issues. NEVEVER spray any trigger w/WD40, accidentally or on purpose
Lighter Fluid = Charcoal briquet lighter fluid. It both cleans and lubricates. For normal cleaning, flush and shake excess fluid out.

Yes, it is charcoal lighter and NOT the lighter fluid for cigarette lighters. This is according to the 6.5 Guys Youtube video where they spoke to Jewell to clarify this. Many of my friends stubbornly refuse to believe this for some reason.

I haven’t had a problem using zippo light fluid in any of my triggers.

Been using Ronsonol Lighter fluid to clean my Jewell for seven years . When I first got the Jewell , I called them to ask what they recommended for cleaning , and his answer was either the Charcoal Lighter Fluid , or any standard Lighter fluid . Guess it's been okay , since it has only gone out of adjustment once , and only took a quarter turn of the Allen wrench to get back to proper set .
