jewell trigger installation problem/ar-15

I installed my new jewell trigger in a bushmaster lower and I can't get it adjusted to feel the first stage stop.It feels like one long mushy pull instead.I have another and it adjusts fine and you can feel the first stage very clean and then it breaks going into the second stage.I have tried it with as little sear engagement and with alot. It wont repeat the weight setting.Can anyone help?
