Jewell br and hvr

another dumb question , I apologize, but how does one identify a br trigger from an hvr , the only difference i can tell is by the internals , as is the sear seems to be different, but can you tell from the outside somehow? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the HVR has multiple springs for different pull weights (or at least mine did) and includes a thumb safety. If I remember correctly, the BR only had the lightest spring with no safety.

The HVR was available without safety or bolt release. I have one in that configuration. The tip of the intermediate lever on the end that engages the trigger, is different on the HVR. It is hinged, so that it can override the trigger, as the trigger resets, when heavier springs are installed. It works off of the sear spring. https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=Jewel+HVR+diagram

agreed , just crazy to me that a company wouldn’t mark the outside in some way to know without having to dismantle it to look inside to know which one you have, or am i missing something and they are easy to tell?

You can pretty much figure if it has a safety and a bolt stop it's an HVR.
