What are these jackets called? I have a lot of these in 6mm and one is in plastic sealed bag, (J4) and the rest of the 6mm are loose.(must be thousands). Bag in the back are all loose, in large zip lock bags. The other question is what would be the best way to find out the amount, by weight, hand counting? Please advise. I have 22 cal but a small amount, These will be for sale. PM me if interested, nilebartram

I would weigh a hundred, and figure the approximate weight per 500 or 1000 from there. State it in your ad the the number is approximate and throw in a few extra for good measure. Unless you really like counting....

Weight to get number of pounds, multiple by 7000 grains.Weight one jacket in grains. Divide total weight by that. Answer will be close to total number.

A counting scale. Put set sample on scale, then put the bulk on scale. It will tell you how many +- 1.

We used to do this at work (Ford), had a bunch of them and they were amazingly accurate but where you gonna find one? I'd go with some of the others-you'll get close

Get average weight of a few of the jackets on your powder scale in grains. Divide average weight into 7000 grains/lb. That tells you the number of jackets/lb. Multiply the number of lbs of jackets times the number of jackets/lb. That is a close estimate of the number of jackets in the lot.
