WOW that is a lot. My load for 68 gr. Bart's is 29.6 gr. of VV-N133 @ 3442 fps. 30.0 -31.0 gr. would probably be between 3500 & 3600 fps. That is screaming for a 6PPC no doubt. Those are grains he is talking about.
The new normal for the PPC is between 30.0 and 31.0 grains of 133.

It depends on your lot of powder. I have a lot of 133 from 8-2022 and it doesn’t hit 3400 until I’m at 30.6-30.8. It tunes in around 30.3-30.8 depending on atmospherics.WOW that is a lot. Yeah there were 2 lots for 2022. From what I understand, one was hot and one was slow. You must have the hot lot!Mine is 4-2022

@Jack Neary . Maybe he can tell us.I thought he was referring to a Harrells powder dropper or a Neil jones powder dispenser. Hmmm
Absolutely Jackie. He did not get into the BR Hall of Fame by not knowing how to make his rifle and loads work for himself. We have been shooting 30+ grains of 133 behind a 68 grn bullet for years. That is where the extreme accuracy is.
Jack is a great guy. He has done a lot for Benchrest through the years and does know how the game is played.
