Just pay attention to the threads. I bought the VFG jag and pellets but didn’t realize I needed an 8-32 male to 8-36 male adapter to use w my rods.Great. Will give them a spin.
Is it a stainless barrel? If its chrome moly i wouldnt put sweets in itI used this process on my .257 Roberts. I used Carb Out first and then J B and Kroil followed by Sweets. The barrel was quite heavily fouled. The J B seemed to rough up the copper and strip away the surface so the Sweets could attack it. A lot of blue came out. I repeated the process, dry patching between chemicals, and could see some reduction in the blue. I finished it off by putting the barreled action muzzle down and poured Shooter's Choice in until it dripped out of the muzzle. Let it soak and then brushed with a nylon brush and dry patched it. The patches finally came out mostly clean. Do not have a bore scope so I will take it to the range and start shooting 3 shot groups. BTW, does Kroil prevent rust after all of this or do I need to use Clenzoil ?
