IWB Holster rash help?

Exactly what part is rubbing and causing the rash? I'm assuming its part of the holster, and that the side in the picture is what is against the skin. If so, the problem is the design of the holster. It should have been made and formed so that side is curved to fit your body and NOT curved around the firearm. It should have laminations on this side of the holster that allows the holster to fit the firearm properly while keeping the skin side flat (curved) to match your hip. I'm not sure that holster can be made to be comfortable as an IWB rig.

I use rigs from Proteq Custom Gear. They are comfortable enough that I can lay down and take a nap and not realize I still have it on when I wake up. They are expensive, but they are worth every penny.

A friend turned me onto these Tagua IWB holsters. They are comfortable and stay in place. The only down side, it requires that you remove the holster to put your gun in.

Relentless Tactical. I wear it every day. Very comfortable. Yes, I'm a backwards lefty!

A Sparks Criterion (I have 3) IWB has a holster cant that lets the grip of a 1911 ride almost vertical. It also seems to spread (at 4 o"clock) the pressure of the gun over a wider area of my thigh so the pressure is spread more than just one place.

I don't follow. That has quite a bit of cant built in, how can the grip be vertical? @nettle What am I missing?

Wouldn't that be more the gluteal rather than the thigh? And, it appears the grip would be more horizontal than vertical. Nice rig.

Warmer temps are coming so I bought a Texas 1836 IWB holster for my Sig 365. I normally carry in a vest pocket in colder weather. I’ve worn it for two days in the kidney position to get a feel for it. This afternoon, I noticed it starting to rub a little uncomfortably.
Is there a good way to deal with this? Soften the leather with a treatment? Glue on some suede or rabbit fur?
Let it rub until I get a callous on my tender cheek? Get a different holster?
Input requested.
Thanks in advance!
You may be allergic to either the leather or some of the chemicals used in tanning.
I carry almost daily and twelve months a year. Two holsters do the chore.
First is a Desantis leather pancake style OWB. It holds the pistol close to my body and is totally concealable under a tee or polo.
If IWB is needed it has long been a Kydex material design for me. I am a sweater and leather gets more than a little yucky in too short a time. I have WTP (We The People) holsters for any IWB need.
