IWB Holster rash help?

Warmer temps are coming so I bought a Texas 1836 IWB holster for my Sig 365. I normally carry in a vest pocket in colder weather. I’ve worn it for two days in the kidney position to get a feel for it. This afternoon, I noticed it starting to rub a little uncomfortably.
Is there a good way to deal with this? Soften the leather with a treatment? Glue on some suede or rabbit fur?
Let it rub until I get a callous on my tender cheek? Get a different holster?
Input requested.
Thanks in advance!

I’m not sure what’s against your skin at that position, but I use this one in the same position and it’s the most comfortable for me….

Here’s what I have. Come summer, I’ll be wearing polo shirts or t shirts and the holster will be against my undies. I’ll try some neoprene. Thanks!
If that doesn’t work, I’ll try the MTAC holster. Thanks for that.

I'm far to skinny to wear an IWB holster .I use a paddle holster and Fobus makes a nice one with a neoprene padded paddle. Just a thought

Hey Bro, living in Florida I can feel your pain about IWB carry as the temp increase. My body type dosent allow many hiding spots without printing. Look into the shoulder sling methods of carry with the right loose clothing printing disapers. Just saying. I sweat real bad and dont wish to soak my weapon so i am constantly trying to create a new carry method. I have even down sized to 380 so i can pocket carry.

Well, I do have a shoulder holster……but it’s for my 8 3/8” S&W 44 Magnum. It’s a nice “winter carry” under a down coat. I might look for one for the Sig but I think that will cause more itching. I have a 38 special 2 shot derringer I can put in my pocket, but 2 shots seems less than adequate. A friend carries a little 22 six shooter in his pocket. I might go that route if I have to but it would at least have to be a Magnum.
I’ll deal with the IWB as long as I can.

I carry my 43x with 15rnd mag most of the time but as the close come off the 380 is in my pocket. When I have a jacket on or an untucked winter shirt the 357sig (my carry of choise) is my IWB carry.

Recluse pocket holster Crossbreed IWB as my close clothing changes these help me.

Josh a stud like you needs a Miami vice Jack ass rig and a white or pastel dinner jacket everywhere he goes. I just don't know if they make then for that single action army that you mentioned earlier this week. would it be the end of the world if you have to go to a 1911?

Most shoes are made of leather. If the leather shoes rub me the wrong way or irritate I buy different ones that fit better.

Ha! My “stud” days are long gone. I wonder how much attention I’d get if I open carried the singe action army? Do the real deal with gun belt and cartridges for the summer…in Delaware??

A Sparks Criterion (I have 3) IWB has a holster cant that lets the grip of a 1911 ride almost vertical. It also seems to spread (at 4 o"clock) the pressure of the gun over a wider area of my thigh so the pressure is spread more than just one place.

When my daughter choose a Texas themed wedding I did a bunch of research on carry customs. What I learned was that you need many 1911s with increasing levels of embellishment. But I was stunned by the top two levels. I had decided that the Sunday go to meeting gun had to be the highest but it was second to a BBQ level 1911. And the BBQ level had some outlandish gun leather. I tried to convince her that she needed to buy me a BBQ 1911 and some fancy leather so I would not embarrass her, but she was not convinced.

Super thin layer of Vaseline will protect your cheek, but it might bleed a little dye out of your holster.
