I’ve got a 15 year old fox pro

Hard to beat x24. If you decide on somthing shoot me a p.m. I am a dealer for foxpro also

Thinking of upgrading what’s the go to caller now days…..
I upgraded to the X24 last fall. I really like the remote for feel of buttons, placement and back light intensity. The sound is better than my old foxpro and it calls in the damn wolves like you wouldn't believe. Coyotes too.

Find one of the last remaining shockwaves or CS-24C.

They’re still better than the X-series.

If you can’t find one then x24

I've been happy with Lucky Duck Revolt. A little bulky but sound and volume are good. Still using an old Alpha Dog and FoxPro Spitfire as well.

I'm using an early CS-24, love the tx-500 remote as I hate to scroll for sounds 10 pre-sets , just punch in the number of the sound you want, a Wildlife Technologies and my last Minaska M-1 Bandit.

The above were winter 22/23

Even cheap callers work I buy inexpensive callers to see if they work and then give them away to newbies

JS Grim Reaper worked just fine 21/22 season

I find that ease of operation, being able to do a stand without having to look at the remote while calling works for me. My thought, that if you have a caller that is working for you why change.

I have an anitqued Primo's electronic call which permits remote calling up to about 75 yards or so. I am sure your old Fox Pro is many times "better" than mine.

I am far from an expert or even accomplished predator hunter, still learning the sport but what I have learned is that the most significant success factors are my stand location in relationship to the wind, concealment, and knowing (evidence) that the critters are in the area.

My Primo's with limited call selection works well enough especially the fawn and rabbit distress calls but if the wind position and my concealment is lacking then the yotes hang up on me in the bush. Foxes are much easier to entice. Also, the guys I know that are really successful at this sport hunt at night with all the night vision equipment. I don't hunt at night, tried in once but it wasn't enjoyable for me in the winter.

So, the bottom line, in my opinion based on limited success is that the call is not the limiting factor but the other elements I mentioned.

I've had excellent luck with my Icotec Nightstalker, tremendous range one of best in the industry, about 140 calls with many more available. At least 100+ coyotes have fallen to it in about 3 years time.

My old foxpro still worked great but I couldn't see the screen anymore without glasses so I had to upgrade to the newer model with much bigger letters.
