Got this North Idaho whitetail yesterday afternoon, not long after the fog rolled in. He was with a doe and barely in view at 100 yards, but I was lucky enough to have him respond so some grunts and they both came in to about 60 yards. The pic of the clearing is from about 30 minutes earlier when it crept past the treeline… I was just about to call it a day when the deer came in. Thankfully I stayed put!

My wife got it done again. This time on a nice Desert Muley. She shot this buck with one perfectly placed shot at 877 yards with her .260 Ackley and 140 Bergers. Dropped in his tracks.

I have taken 4 doe so far with a bow. Muzzleloader ended, and while I didn't shoot any deer (trophy hunting now), I did kill a monster VA black bear (at least to me), and my first coyote. I put these up in another post with the stories.

More "Chicken of the Tree"

I have permission to hunt a small patch of woods...200x300 yards of private land surrounded by farmland. Last year this place was LOADED with fox squirrels, and I was afraid I 'may' have cleaned the place out. (ha ha) I've been there only twice this season. First time I got 4, second time I got this:

Went out scouting this morning found these. I’m not a professional tracker but I figured Grizzly Sow and Cub

Local man killed one today. Very nice looking buck, scored 149. Take a look at how nice the coat is,... that’s a pretty deer right there guys... the boys dragging it said it was big big. Glad to see the enthusiasm from these young guys!

Let the air out of this one in southeastern PA, 4:06 p.m today. Had the foo foo juice out on a couple shoe polish swabs and he came right in to it. Double lunger, he walked over 100 yards before dropping, there wasn't a drop of blood until the last ten yards before he expired. 190 field dressed. Gut was stuffed with corn. Donated him to the hunter harvest program. Does are next, freezer bound.
