They got a 200+ on camera but settled for these after a futile attempt to meet him. The bottom guy Jimmy killed a 211 just a couple years ago on this farm.

I need to buckle down right now, only a few days left of the season... Worked hard today to get ready for the last few days left. We got a big snow coming and that’s a good thing to be there during it. Sounds fun anyway! Can’t wait to get back out there!

We drew extra elk tags for Jan and Feb and I shot this calf at 1081yds this morning. Then we chased the herd down and my dad and buddy shot 2 at 250yds.

My buddy and I went to Kodiak Island last week and took out a couple blacktails. Pretty tough conditions for Kodiak. The first 5 days were over 75 degrees. Humping through 6+" berries and ferns makes for some sweat for these low humidity ID boys. I shot mine in the head so only a left side picture was possible without freaking people out. At 492yds a 215 Berger didn't exit but it ruined some stuff. Our camp was right over my buddies head on the left side of that lake. The ocean was about 3 miles past that. One day we saw over 30 different bucks in the draw behind me. Most days there were 15-20 in there and we saw 3 bigger than mine in there. We just couldn't get on them before dark or before we busted them out.
