It's cold! Pix from Warmer Days

Anyway, some pix from my trips to N Dakota in the last couple years. Shooting (at) prairie dogs, camping on the grasslands.
I'm in Idaho and you all may be freezing (Montana!), or enjoying a warm gulf breeze. Good reloading weather; here.

Currently -40 here in Southern Alberta, that's the magic temp where Celcius and Farenheit are the same. The windchill right now is -53C (-64F). The furnace is running pretty much constant. Will be this way through the weekend and then warm up to -15C on Monday.

It's our first real taste of winter this year, which has been unbelievably warm so far. Finally a little bit of snow, but not nearly enough after a few dry years, our reservoirs are empty in a lot of areas, and hardly any snow pack in the mountains.

I thought I read somewhere about something called global warming. I guess that is a summer thing....lol
LOL

Well . . . global warming does effect how the polar vortex moves. ;)

A movie was even made about such effects, though over dramatic; its titled The Day After Tomorrow where global warming has melted enough glaciers into the oceans to dramatically change the ocean currents resulting in extreme cold.

Yes some go on and on about global warming. Some people are never happy and the TV news finds one every day to whine about something.

25C in Upper Hutt NZ for the National match finals.

It's a full 2° here with 30mph winds. Looking at pics from my peppers from last summer definitely helped me feel warmer. Or maybe just remembering the the hellish pain, lol.
I'm a construction Pipefitter and I sometimes get layed off during winter. Trying not to get cabin fever.
Getting ahead of pistol loading, rifle brass prep and contemplating which barrel I'm going to replace on a Savage 111 300wm. I have 3 other 300wm rifles besides this one. My choices on my shelf right now is 30 Nosler, a new 300wm barrel, 270wby...oh well. My range officer called yesterday to tell me the range is closed tomorrow because of the weather. Oh well.
Remember the warmer days.6427.jpeg

What type of peppers are those?
A friend used to grow some warm ones.
He ground them up and put them into everything.
