Ithaca LSA55 6mm Value?

Found one in a shop that has my interest up. Wood and metal look really nice. The bore is dirty but seems to be OK just looking through the bore. Original recoil pad has been replaced and the front and rear sights are missing. Has a Simmons scope in Weaver rings but I don't even count that as a value. The price they are asking seemed fair then he knocked off $60 plus I can get a Veterans discount. Its making it hard to pass on this one. What is a fair price in your opinion?

I'd probably give 600 for it if it's in good shape. Made by Tikka for Ithaca! It's the same as a Tikka m55. But I have not looked at market prices all that much so I don't know what is "fair"

I know a little about them, mostly what I have read. I know they are basically Tikka's. But know nothing of their value. I think I can get this one for $500 and tax.
