Is this the "Marlin Jam"?

I've got a Marlin 1894 in 45LC. It's a couple years old. Ever since the first time I shot it, it's jammed. The next round doesn't make it all the way out of the feeding tube, before the lift tries to elevate it. As such it gets stuck.

All my searches lead me to this article, which talks about "letting 2 rounds in". It seems this is a different problem. http://marauder.homestead.com/files/Marlin94Fix.html

If you go to the SASS Wire forum and search for Widowmaker Hill SASS #59054 - he is the Marlin 94 guru. You should be able to find a post with his phone number. Give him a call. Great guy.

Did you get the kinks worked out of it for good?

Also curious, how old is the rifle? Marlin has had a poor reputation in CAS since being bought up by Remington and moved. The quality of the internals, fit & finishing, have been horrendous. It seems to have gotten better in the last year but still has problems. The rifles will typically run "ok" with slow plinking but can't handle being run at speed.

Widder is a great guy and and really knows the Marlin '94. He also really knows the Henry rimfire lever-actions. He can make them run super smooth. Cowboy Action was the most fun I ever had competing. I've traveled from the MS Gulf Coast to Cheyenne, WY and to Tombstone, AZ to shoot competitions. Miss it badly right now and can't wait to get back home.

Also planning to try NRL or PRS when I come home with a custom rifle I intend to treat myself with for being over here and putting up with the BS.
