Is this new Bartlein barrel salvageable or toast?

Good deal that he took care of it. A borescope inspection during and after chambering will prevent these from leaving the shop. I inspect and measure everything to prevent stuff like this any verify my work.

While it should be made right by anyone doing the work. Missing these mistakes cost the guy doing the work a lot of time and money. He'll have more than the cost of a teslong into this mistake.

That barrel looks like a prime candidate for a 22BR or 22 Creed, but I'm afraid it's .223 days are over. Glad he's making it right.

Shoot it, I rented a dull 222 Remington reamer from ElkRidge reamer rentals to cut a 222 chamber and ended up with almost the same looking scratch. Scored wood and paper everytime I shot it in matches. Left a visible ring on my brass, but shot like dream.
