I picked up this new Bartlein barrel from my gunsmith before he installed it on my action to have it cerakoted.
Before taking it back to the gunsmith after the cerakote was done, I ran a bore scope down the barrel and discovered this ugly scar in the chamber...looks like the reamer did the boog-a-loo. The scar is about 1/4" below the body/shoulder junction.
I should have bore scoped before I had the cerakote done...could have saved the $$.
Is this barrel toast?
(.223 Rem...1/8...chambered and cut/crown to 24")
