is the first group ok for 200 yards?(more groups)

I can't help but not post this picture of the target I shot at 200 yards today,1st group was the best ever,a little over 1/2 inch group
Haven't done much shooting at 200 yards, this was my third time
Rifle is a savage Stevens action,stainless select match shilen. 223
load is 25.3 varget,69 sierra hpbt,cci 450 primer,lc10 brass

What you have appears to be doing fine! However,if you REALLY want to make that 69 grainer sing, both in velocity and nice groupings, IF you can get a pound, try VV N540. I used it in my .223 with the 73grain berger and got 3040f.p.s. with 3/4" to 1" groups at 300 yards.

looking at that group and checking it. It is a little over 1 inch not close to 1/2 inch. 1/2 MOA yea 1/2 inch nope

It's ok to make a mistake measuring shooter. Ya measure them center to center farthest apart. With that out of the way then I see your bitten by what's called "the bug" ... Your shooting something to measure now and the hunt is on. Welcome aboard shooter, I hope your house is paid for. Lol

Are you measuring the 3 or the 5 ? Like I said , it doesn't matter. You will do even better soon. It's time for some firing line for you. You will find your mentors there.

I don't know where REPLY#5 is coming from, my eyes were drawn to that center group like a magnet. Sure looks close enought to a 1/2" to me. Good shooting and save your pennies....

thank you no load,you know,ive been around guns all my life,im 48 years old,i know how to measure groups,but i dont claim that i can shoot those kind of groups all day long,every day!lmao
when i hear that,im thinking really???
here in west texas,one minute its nice and calm,then 10 minutes later,25 mph winds
thats what happened on those groups,the 1st group no wind,next 3 had some wind
i couldnt believe i had to actually prove it was the group that i said it was with a coin,damn,some people!!!
