To that question I say yes.......if the conditions are not completely rotten. I believe that the pure accuracy of the 6PPC will overcome its disadvantage of its inferior BC. We had our monthly 300 yard match today and I decided to shoot the PPC. My equipment was as follows: BAT mod. B w/ 10-50X Sightron scope; Bartlein 13.5 twist barrel; Leonard stock; and a load of 29.3 gr. N133 with Bart's 68 gr. BT seated to just touch the lands.
Today, we had bright sunshine and a right to left wind w, velocity to ~8 mph. The wind was somewhat tricky in that there were constant pickups and let offs. One had to be very careful and not get caught. We shoot 3, 10-shot groups for score only. I was lucky enough to win with a 296/2X . I was the only shooter of the 19 that showed up that shot a PPC. There was a wide assortment of chamberings used with several Dashers, some 6.5 X 47's , 6 BR's and even a .22/.250. With my second consecutive victory using the 6 PPC, we may see some more try it in the future. James Mock
