Is it a hassle to open up a tight neck chamber

I have a XR100 that is built by Jim Gruning of Gruning Precision that is a 22-250 7.7 twist Kreiger barrel that has a 250 neck. I bought the rifle from the original owner unfired and have not done anything with it yet. It has a 250 neck and would like to have the neck opened up because I do not turn necks anymore. Can it be done without changing anything else to the chamber? The only thing else needed to the rifle is a bedding and trigger job as the action was trued up. I am thinking like a 254 or something would be fine for the Lapua brass that I would load to shoot out of it.

its an easy task for someone with a neck reamer in the desired size

D,
I knew Jim when I lived in CA. He built me some GREAT rifles
I know he insisited on bedding the rifles. Check it out.
Opening the neck is easy just get a g/s that knows what they are doing and its fairly easy.

If you have a 22-250 reamer with a no turn neck on it just turn it in by hand until it hits the shoulder. It will be guided by the old chamber.
