Introduction - New Member

So, I haven't shared my rifle info. I'm actually a bit shy about it, because its a total newb purchase. At least based on what I have been reading. But I think it was a great intro purchase.

I have a bone stock (for a few more days) RPR in 6.5 Creedmoor. I put a Burris XTRII 3-15x50 on it. I also go back and forth between a muzzle brake and a AAC 762SDN6 suppressor.

I have had the rifle for a year, but only just recently shot to 1,000 yards for the first time, just a few days ago (about a week). I had a 65% hit rate on an 18" target. For a new shooter with OTC ammo and a stock rifle, I was pretty happy with that. A big part of that is my eyes not working so well. I think I am going to replace the scope with at least 25x zoom... maybe 30x.

Welcome aboard! Please be advised to appear noteworthy with us insure to liberally use the the terms "clip" for magazine, "pill" for bullet, and "shoots in the 1's and 2's all day if I do my part". Enjoy all the talent and knowledge here my friend...

Welcome to the Forum,
Willie is right. You will end up building rifles and reloading. The rifle and reloading game is an addiction. The first time you put 5 rounds in the same hole you will be really hooked. Everytime I turn around my wife is complaining about a package coming from Midway, Whidden, Midsouth, or Natchez. I started out with a Ruger 22-250, now I have 4 more rifles that are custom builds with another one on the way. Read the Forum daily and you will learn the game.

Welcome to one of if not the best forums Spaz, lots of veteran shooters and re-loaders here that will give you the advice you need to shake off the newbie blues in no time.

$6-700ish, lightly used.

@joshb , I was checking that out, actually. Seems like a nice scope.

My wife is going on vacation to visit the grand kids for all of March and then I am going on vacation to visit my mom, and the the grand kids for all of April. I likely won't be making any new purchases until May. Marriott is going to get most of my money over the next couple of months. LOL

@hogpatrol , Haha! Nice. I am trying to pace myself, but I am looking forward to seeing what recommendations come my way!

6.5 Creedmoor, got to watch this guy, might be Talisman material.

Yep Dan, thought the same thing as I was reading from the start...

Uh-oh.... what am I missing? We talking about an object with mystical powers of good luck or a person who is an inspiration?
