Intrepid indicator

What is the model # of long reach intrepid indicator that you guys use for indicating a rifle barrel?

Thanks

I'll be able to do it with the 2.75" point.

Currently trying to get long island indicator to cancel my order and just send me the 5.5 tip.

I’ve also been direct reading the throat area after pre boring, with a 513-504T, using a grizzly rod & bushings beforehand for the initial dial-in.

I’ve not used a long tip indicator. I picture the long tip having some tendency to ride up the bore’s ID as it’s rotated, causing some possible measurement error. Do you notice the needle settle to the correct reading as you rotate a tiny amount back and forth? Or is the tip rigid enough that this isn’t a thing? The 513-504’s tip is very short. If it deflects sideways at all, I can’t detect it.

Yes I would like to see that done.
I've done it already, as I'm sure have others. I'm curious if Aaron's results are the same.

I think you'll find it's just as sensitive as the Interapid, but the dial is so small it's very hard to see the needle move.
I can't imagine laying down a 5.5" stylus in a 6mm bore and trying to indicate with it.
Think 33xc and 416 sized chambers.

Still with 30+cal and 5.5" stylus and a shallow angle, I can't imagine it's reliable. I dunno...I'm a skeptic on it. Buy hey, I've been wrong before...as long as it works for you. :)
